What counts as a valid referral?

A valid referral is someone you have a real, professional relationship with — someone who would recognize your name when we reach out. This can include:

  • A current or former coworker
  • Someone you collaborate with in your role
  • A peer or leader at another district or organization
  • A consultant, vendor, or partner you’ve worked with

Can I refer more than one person from the same organization?

To keep the program fair and consistent, each organization counts as one referral. If you know multiple people at the same district or company, that still qualifies as a single referral for reward purposes.

Referrals should come from someone you know professionally — just a quick warm intro is all we need to keep the experience positive for everyone. FMX may decline referrals if there isn’t an existing relationship in place so we can keep the program valuable and respectful for all parties. 

Please note: Each referral must be tied to a unique organization. Multiple contacts from the same district or company count as a single referral.

Do I need to be a current FMX customer to submit a referral?

Yes, you must be a current FMX customer to be eligible for referral prizes.

This requirement is in place because a core part of the referral process is sharing your personal, valuable experience using FMX with the colleague you refer. Your authentic testimonial is the most powerful tool for a successful referral!
